and supplying electricity to thousands of people. It’s hard to imagine this one little creek would be the lifeline for hundreds of thousands of people and animals. It is amazing how this small amount of water can become so powerful and do so many amazing things for so many people. Now, if you have been down river and seen the end result, it is easy to understand the power of this creek. This is what Life Source Chiropractic is seeing in all of you. We see the powerful river. We are no longer standing at the creek but rather the river. WE CAN SEE IT. The problem is that for most, you never look down stream. You stand at the creek and think how small and how it is too hard. Too many people make excuses about their health and fall victim to the bombardment of medical advertising that tell you the only way to live is on more drugs. That way of thinking is done! You are not a creek, but a river. If you think small then you will never become what is intended for you. You will never reach your potential or your dreams. 2010 is the year of the rivers! CAN YOU SEE IT!
Our mission at Life Source Chiropractic is to transform lives so that people can live their life their way. This means reaching their God given potential, getting off the dangerous medications, not having surgeries done to remove God given tissue in the body, reaching goals and fulfilling their dreams. In 2010 I SEE a mass of people living a maximized living life, where they are able to do the things they have always dreamed. I SEE people taking responsibility for their health, not waiting for disease to affect a weakened body, but rather building a body that is immune to disease. Never worrying about the next swine flu or bird flu to come around, and not looking outside in for health. Health has never come from a pill, potion, or lotion, but rather from inside out. While other professions are concerned with changing environment to suit the weakened body, Life Source Chiropractic is concerned with strengthening the body to “suit” the environment. If your body can heal a cut on your arm, or a broken bone, then why can’t it heal the disease that is (or will) affect your life. That is the key. Affect your life!
No one has ever come to my office for pain or headaches, but rather because something in their life has been taken away from them. Whether it be something as simple as gardening or something as serious as not being able to play with your children or grandchildren. If you lose your health, nothing else matters. The time is now to stop looking outside the body for health. The time is now to become the Powerful River. How you ask? It is easy. To be transformed, you need to be committed. Committed to making your life and families lives better. Every study I have ever seen states that a bad lifestyle and a bad spine create disease. At Life Source Chiropractic we are committed to doing everything we can to transform your health and your life. Nutrition, Exercise, Spinal rehab, and every health topic you can imagine will be discussed this year. All you need to do is to make it to our events. 2010 we will have Extreme Makeovers, Movie Nights, Dinner Workshops, Advanced Workshops, Olympic Champion Nights, and so much more. What we will do is worth thousands of dollars, and for you it is free. Starting this monday, you can start to be the change you wish in the world. Bring your entire neighborhood to this dinner, and to every event we have this year. Get the Info, Make the change, and Stay committed to your spinal rehab and you will be transformed in 2010!
PARIS - The United States ranks near the bottom in life expectancy among wealthy nations despite spending more than double per person on health care than the industrialized world’s average, an economic group said Tuesday.
Life expectancy at birth in the U.S. was 78.1 years in 2007, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
That’s a year less than the OECD average of 79.1, and puts the U.S. just ahead of the Czech Republic, Poland and Mexico, where spending on health care is many times less per person, the Paris-based organization said in its latest survey of health trends among its 30 rich member countries.
Total U.S. spending on health care was $7,290 a person in 2007, nearly two-and-a-half times the OECD average of $2,984. The figures include spending by both individuals and governments.
“It suggests that the U.S. is not getting great value for its health spending, in terms of life expectancy,” Gaetan Lafortune, one of the report’s co-authors said.
He said the U.S. needs to look “closely at spending that has little or no value in terms of improved health.”
“Life expectancy is only partly driven by how a country’s health care system performs,” Lafortune said.
Outside factors such as the country’s higher rates of obesity and violent death, as well as mishandling of chronic conditions leading to avoidable hospital stays, play a bigger role in life expectancy rates than health care spending, Lafortune said.
Spending on health care in the U.S. grew more quickly between 1997 and 2007 than in France, Italy, Germany and Spain, averaging 3.4 percent annually over the period. The U.S. growth rate was still below the OECD average of 4.1 percent.
The U.S. far outspent the next biggest health care spenders, Norway and Switzerland, despite the fact that those countries’ life expectancies are two to four years longer, according to the report.
The report notes that, in addition to the U.S., Denmark and Hungary also have lower life expectancies than would be predicted by their relative wealth and levels of health care spending.
On the other hand, the Japanese and the Spanish live longer on average than their national income and their health care spending would predict.
The U.S. also underperforms other rich countries in the health of its youngest.
U.S. infant mortality rates higher than average
U.S. infant mortality, at 6.7 deaths per 1,000 live births, was well above the OECD average of 3.9 in 2007. Only Mexico and Turkey had worse rates of infant mortality. In Luxembourg, the top performer, the infant mortality rate was only 1.8.
The report noted that research suggests many factors beyond the quality of a country’s health system, such as income inequality and individual lifestyles and attitudes, influence infant mortality rates.
Per capita spending on pharmaceuticals rose by almost 50 percent over the last 10 years in OECD countries, reaching a total of $650 billion in 2007. The U.S. was the world’s biggest spender on pharmaceuticals, spending $878 per person, with Canada next at $691 per person and the OECD average at $461.
The report was released as the U.S. Senate is considering a health care overhaul promised by President Barack Obama during his presidential campaign.

BOTTOM LINE: (DR JASON WIESE)
Albert Einstein once stated “You can’t solve a problem with the same way of thinking that created the problem.” Well, it sounds like we have a PROBLEM! How could this happen? You would think that if you spent more money on your health then you would be healthier. Yes, that would be true, but the fact is, in the U.S. most people don’t spend money on health, they spend it on disease. We don’t have a healthcare system in the U.S. We have a sick care system, that treats symptoms very well, but never gets anyone truly healthy. Think about it. Do we get on more medications as we get older, or less. MORE! Does anyone really want to be on more medications? NO! Why, because we know that more medications don’t mean a healthier you. More of this just means we cover up the symptom as our bodies continue to create dysfunction and disease. The only way to really get true health is to actively create it, and understand what true health really means. Health is function, and the only way that the body can heal is with 100% function. Where does function and healing come from in the body? The Brain and Nerve System! If you have damage to this Nerve System thru Subluxation, then you are leaching health from your body. If we continue to look at the health the way we have been (with drugs and surgery), then we are destined to spend all our money on a life full of sickness and disease.
Once, a large truck was driving through one of the busiest tunnels in New York City. The truck was so large, in fact, that it got stuck in the tunnel and could not back up or move forward. Traffic eventually got backed up for miles and miles. Dozens of traffic, accident, bridge, road, and truck experts were on the scene for hours trying to figure out what to do. Just as the situation and the frustration of the experts were beginning to get out of hand, a 10 year old little girl poked her head out of the window and said, “Why don’t you just let the air out of the tires.” The dilemma was resolved.
THEME: When life and the world are not working out, re-assess everything!
Even though Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years make up a total of 3 days, most people just call November, December, and the first part of January “The Holidays.”
Since it is “The Holidays,” you can be irresponsible and careless. You can eat mass quantities, put all sorts of horrible “Holiday” items in your body, stop exercising, miss adjustments, spend too much, and put important things off because, after all, it is “The Holidays.” In total, you end up with a 6-10 week reign of terror on your life and body.
If you add to these two months to all of the other times you tend to abuse or ignore your health, such as parties, anniversaries, other “holidays,” birthdays, weddings, weekends, secretaries day, etc, you are basically being irresponsible for your health (and many other areas of your life) conservatively three months out of every year. (25% of every year)
By the time you are 40 years old, you will have spent 10 years doing serious, possibly irreparable damage to your body, your finances, and possibly your whole life. This is another reason why people are supposed to live to 100, but only make 75. (25% off)
“The Holidays,” are a time designated to celebrate and appreciate God’s blessings. However, they have become a time dedicated to shortening life and falling short of your God-given potential. Clearly, it is time to look at “The Holidays” from a new perspective.
Of the tens of thousands of sick and suffering people I have met, examined, and consulted, not once have I heard one of them say, “I wish I had done less for my health all of these years.”
What they do say, in every case, is “I wish I had met you ___________ years ago.”
WELL, you have met me, please take advantage of it.
Enjoy the Holidays (6-10 days). Yet, keep you and your family alive in the process
DUE TO THE EXTREME MENTAL, PHYSICAL, AND CHEMICAL STRESS BROUGHT ON BY “THE HOLIDAYS,” PLEASE ADD, DO NOT SUBTRACT FROM YOUR CURRENT ADJUSTMENTS AND HOME SPINAL REHAB SCHEDULE.
OTHERS NEED CARE NOW MORE THAN EVER. SO DO NOT STOP REFERRING. IT IS A TIME OF YEAR TO THINK MORE ABOUT OTHERS SO, REFER MORE.
DO NOT SKIP THE “EXTREME MAKE-OVER” EVENT SCHEDULED DECEMBER 5TH AT KING OF KINGS CHURCH. THIS EVENT IS ON A SATURDAY FROM 10AM TO 2PM. Healthy lifestyle triggers genetic changes: study
By Will Dunham

updated 8:23 p.m. CT, Mon., June. 16, 2008
WASHINGTON - Comprehensive lifestyle changes including a better diet and more exercise can lead not only to a better physique, but also to swift and dramatic changes at the genetic level, U.S. researchers said on Monday.
In a small study, the researchers tracked 30 men with low-risk prostate cancer who decided against conventional medical treatment such as surgery and radiation or hormone therapy.
The men underwent three months of major lifestyle changes, including eatinga diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and soy products, moderate exercise such as walking for half an hour a day, and an hour of
daily stress management methods such as meditation.
As expected, they lost weight, lowered their blood pressure and saw other health improvements. But the researchers found more profound changes when they compared prostate biopsies taken before and after the lifestyle changes.
After the three months, the men had changes in activity in about 500 genes — including 48 that were turned on and 453 genes that were turned off.
The activity of disease-preventing genes increased while a number of disease-promoting genes, including those involved in prostate cancer and breast cancer, shut down, according to the study published in the journal
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
The research was led by Dr. Dean Ornish, head of the Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito, California, and a well-known author advocating lifestyle changes to improve health.
“It’s an exciting finding because so often people say, ‘Oh, it’s all in my genes, what can I do?’ Well, it turns out you may be able to do a lot,” Ornish, who is also affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco, said in a telephone interview.
“‘In just three months, I can change hundreds of my genes simply by changing what I eat and how I live?’ That’s pretty exciting,” Ornish said. “The implications of our study are not limited to men with prostate cancer.”
Ornish said the men avoided conventional medical treatment for prostate cancer for reasons separate from the study. But in making that decision, they allowed the researchers to look at biopsies in people with cancer before and after lifestyle changes.
“It gave us the opportunity to have an ethical reason for doing repeat biopsies in just a three-month period because they needed that anyway to look at their clinical changes (in their prostate cancer),” Ornish said.

The Bottom Line:
What is health? Health is not; how we feel (we can have cancer inside our bodies and still feel good), it is not what we put into our bodies (we can eat and do everything right and still get disease, who do you know that has done everything right and still got disease or died early), and health is not genetics. Even the American Cancer Society reports on page one of their Cancer Facts and Figures 2008 Report. It states, “Only 5% of all cancers are strongly hereditary, most cancers do not result from inherited genes but from damage to genes that occurs during ones lifetime.” So 95% of people are designed to be healthy. So why are so many people still dying of cancer and heart disease if it is preventable. No matter how strongly you believe that cancer is genetic, most likely it is because we have the same health patterns as your parents or grandparents. We look at health the same as our parents. We wait for something to happen (illness or disease) and we treat by going to the pharmacy. Damage to our genes comes from the chemicals that we put into our bodies from the air, the food, and the medication. Yes, the medication! Check most any medication and it will either say carcinogenic and mutinogenic on the warnings. The only way to break the chain from what your parents or grandparents have been doing is by doing something different. Have you or your loved ones been checked for the health destroying effects of subluxation? Health is how your functioning, and the only way to see how your functioning is to see if there is damage to the only system that creates function, your nerve system.
Your Guide to making these type of changes happen is at out Extreme Makeover (see below):
