GENERATION Rx examines a culture of medicine and corruption, documenting how an entire era of children has been caught in the middle of an unprecedented change in western culture: that of drugging children with psychiatric medications earlier and more often than ever before.
Despite being prescribed to millions of children worldwide, many medications have nev er been proven safe and/or effective for the very conditions they’re purported to treat. GENERATION Rx features families devastated by these drugs, as well as internationally respected figures from the fields of medicine, ethics, journalism, academia, and more who question whether we have allowed children to become the victims of shoddy and corrupted science—with profits as the main motivator.
GENERATION Rx uncovers a pattern of collusion between drug manufacturers and their regulatory watchdogs at the FDA—of evidence hidden from the general public, despite the risks being well-known long before antidepressant drugs were approved for the marketplace. The result of these covert actions was an astronomical spike in teen deaths and suicides and countless numbers of horrid, but predictable side effects.
The goal of GENERATION Rx is to provide citizens everywhere with the information they need in order to make informed choiceds about whether ADHD, antipsychotic and antidepressant medications are the right choice for children – or whether drug companies have merely created another market for their products without regard for safety.
