Care that makes room for you during pregnancy.

Pregnancy can change how your back, hips, and pelvis feel as everyday movement changes. At Life Source Chiropractic, Dr. Jason Wiese listens to your concerns, reviews your health history, and explains whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for you.

Dr. Wiese is certified in the Webster Technique, a specific chiropractic approach to assessing and adjusting the sacral and pelvic region. Your care is adapted to your stage of pregnancy and your goals.

Why patients reach out

Pregnancy brings changes.

Back and pelvic discomfort are common reasons to ask about care during pregnancy. Symptoms vary, and an evaluation helps Dr. Wiese understand what is happening before recommending a next step.

01

Back and hip discomfort

A changing center of gravity and new physical demands can make standing, lifting, or resting less comfortable. Tell us where discomfort starts and how it affects your day.

02

Pelvic area concerns

Discomfort around the pelvis or sacroiliac joints may show up with walking, stairs, or turning in bed. We consider your symptoms alongside your pregnancy care team’s guidance.

03

Questions about movement

You may want to understand which positions and activities feel comfortable. Dr. Wiese can discuss your findings and whether hands-on care or movement guidance may fit.

Webster Technique

What is the Webster Technique?

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic assessment and adjustment focused on the sacral and pelvic region. Dr. Wiese completed training and certification in this technique and considers it as one option within an individualized prenatal care plan.

The Webster Technique does not physically turn a baby.   The Webster Technique is designed to create an optimal environment for a head-down position by working with alignment and the soft tissues of the spine and pelvic region.

It does not replace prenatal visits or decisions made with your obstetric clinician or midwife. The goal at Life Source Chiropractic is to be just one part of your pregnancy care team.

How The Webster Technique Works:

  1. Sacral Assessment and Adjusment.

The chiropractor checks the movement of the sacrum (the triangular bone at the base of the spine) and applies light, specific adjustments to restore proper pelvic balance

  2. Round Ligament Release.

Gentle soft-tissue pressure is applied to the round ligaments that support the uterus to ease uneven tension and tightness.

  3. Not A Manual Turn.

The technique does not force or manually “turn” a breech baby; instead, it optimizes the pelvic environment so the baby has natural room to move into a comfortable head-down position on their own.

Your first visit

We start by listening.

Tell us what has changed during pregnancy and what you hope to do more comfortably. Dr. Wiese will review your history, ask about your prenatal care, and focus the examination on your concerns.

You will have time to ask questions before choosing whether to begin care. Imaging is not a routine part of a prenatal chiropractic visit; if another evaluation is needed, Dr. Wiese can discuss that with you and your pregnancy care team.

Care that connects with the rest of your life

Your symptoms, stage of pregnancy, and preferences shape the conversation. Some patients also ask about care for other members of the family.

Patient experience

A patient’s words about pregnancy care

“I got adjusted throughout my entire pregnancy and continuing postpartum … it made all the difference during labor and delivery of my son.”

“At 38 weeks, baby girl was still transverse and we had an ECV scheduled, but were praying that the chiropractic work (Webster Method) would help encourage her into the head down position… at my 39 week appointment she was head down!! Aside from the Lord’s hand, I’m confident that chiropractic care is what got my hips and baby girl working together!! I truly can’t say enough positive things- i’m raving and rambling at this point.”

Common questions

Prenatal chiropractic FAQs

Answers to questions patients often ask before a first visit.

Yes. Prenatal chiropractic care can help address back, hip, and pelvic discomfort as your body changes during pregnancy. Dr. Wiese uses pregnancy-adapted care, including the Webster Technique when appropriate, to assess pelvic alignment and movement and address tension around the pelvis as your body prepares for birth. He tailors each visit to your needs and goals.

The Webster Technique involves a chiropractic assessment and, when appropriate, an adjustment of the sacral and pelvic region. Dr. Wiese also uses gentle soft-tissue work around the round ligaments to help reduce tension. He explains what he finds and adapts positioning and care to your comfort during pregnancy.

The Webster Technique involves a specific chiropractic assessment and gentle adjustment of the sacrum and pelvic region, with attention to surrounding soft tissues. Its goal is to improve pelvic function and reduce tension. It does not manually turn the baby, and research has not established that the technique changes breech position.

Tell your pregnancy care team about new, severe, or persistent pain. Back and pelvic discomfort can have different causes. Dr. Wiese can evaluate musculoskeletal concerns and discuss whether chiropractic care may be appropriate, while your obstetric clinician or midwife remains responsible for pregnancy care.
