SoftWave is one form of extracorporeal shockwave technology. It is not identical to every radial pressure-wave or focused shockwave device.
SoftWave produces broad-focused electrohydraulic shockwaves that deliver acoustic energy across a treatment area. This mechanical stimulus is intended to activate biological responses that support the body’s natural healing processes. Research on extracorporeal shockwave therapy suggests these responses may include increased local circulation and new blood vessel formation (angiogenesis), modulation of inflammation, and cellular signaling involved in tissue repair.
Unlike a medication that circulates throughout the body, the applicator directs acoustic energy to the area being evaluated. Treatment settings and location are chosen by the provider based on the individual assessment.

SoftWave is non-invasive and does not involve injections or incisions. Many people return to normal daily activity, but your provider may recommend temporary activity modifications based on your condition.

The current new-patient Discovery Visit is $49 and includes a focused evaluation, SoftWave mapping and the first treatment during the same visit. Appointment requests and eligibility are confirmed by our team.
